Learn & Earn- Marketplace Intern

Anticipated Start and End Dates: Fall 2022
Remote or In Person: 50 Milk Street Boston, MA
Hours Per Week: ~20 hours per week (240 total hours)
Work Schedule: Flexible
Pay Rate and Travel Stipend: $18/hour and one-time $240 travel stipend
Internship Class: If chosen for the internship, you will take the three credit INT-299 Learn and Earn internship course during fall semester (you pay for the course but if an internship course is not part of your program, we can try to see if a required course can be replaced but this is not always possible).

Job Description: 
The Marketplace Intern performs both internally-facing and customer-facing roles. You will interact with EnergySage site visitors to ensure they have the support they need to make the best possible renewable energy decision. This includes monitoring and responding to 2-way SMS communications and live chat. You will also actively support the Marketplace Team with projects and initiatives. In this position you will:
 
What you’ll do:
•       Interact with customers through multiple channels (live online chat, social media, etc.) -- providing answers and insights about renewable energy, particularly solar, to EnergySage users
•       Assist the marketplace team in evaluating incoming properties for solar feasibility
•       Conduct industry research and help provide insights to the EnergySage Marketplace team

•       Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy
•       Demonstrated ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple deliverables
•       Exceptional customer service and attention to detail
•       Diplomatic problem solver & team player
•       Renewable energy industry and/or experience working with home improvement contractors is a plus
•       Affinity for protecting the environment, sustainability practices, or mission-driven work
•       Sunny disposition!
